About The Position
Ameren Missouri is part of St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation, generating almost 10,200 megawatts and serving 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri, including 127,000 natural gas customers. Our 4,000 employees account for more than one third of Ameren's 8,500 total workforce, and our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 towns, including the greater St. Louis area.
The Manager, Maintenance will optimize the availability of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities through an effective maintenance program to assure continuous, safe, cost efficient operations of the Energy Center.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide general direction and overall coordination with Operations and Technical Support for all plant maintenance activities. Ensure that maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, in a cost effective manner and within technical specifications.
Provide leadership to subordinate supervisors by directing their overall work, providing coaching and feedback, and facilitating their professional development. Ensure that performance is managed throughout the Maintenance Department by developing performance indices and reinforcing the employee evaluation process.
Ensure a safe working environment by working with plant leadership to identify opportunities to improve employee safety performance and working conditions, enhance job safety briefings, and serve on safety steering committees.
Maintain a positive relationship with Local 148, fully leverage the contract, and participate in the grievance process as necessary.
Advocate for Corporate initiatives and hold personnel and processes accountable to regulatory requirements and Corporate policy/procedures.
Participate on and/or lead special projects/teams designed to improve performance or address problems. Continuously assess current maintenance process to reduce waste and eliminate weak points.
Bachelor of Science degree with 5 or more years of applicable maintenance experience required. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma and 10 or more years of applicable maintenance experience is required. Power plant maintenance experience is preferred. Five or more years of supervisory experience is required.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
A strategic mindset (develops a vision for team that addresses short-term needs while considering long term-opportunities and connects departmental goals with Ameren's strategic direction). The ability to build trust with management and Union represented workforce to drive results and accountability. Working knowledge of union contracts and work practices, and equipment operation and repair procedures is required. Knowledge of commonly accepted operating processes, operating systems and Local, State and Federal (including OSHA) regulations regarding the operation of fossil plants is required. Knowledge of the operation issues associated with coal-fired boilers, including typical equipment wear issues, common failure modes, and current repair techniques. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred. Prefer experience with PI/Process Net software, TRIS, and EMPRV. Good leadership, organization, decision making, human relations, and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required. Ability to lead others by setting clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and manage performance is required. Ability to utilize technical and business knowledge to make balanced decisions is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
